Doug Wallin
Pastor [contact Doug]
Doug planted Community Baptist Church of Harrison in January
1993.
His primary responsibilities are preaching and teaching God's Word, providing spiritual and pastoral
care for our church family, creating avenues to welcome those who have yet to accept Christ, and
providing leadership and vision to carry our church into the future.
Doug is originally from Sharonville, OH. He attended
the
University of Cincinnati from 1980-1983 and received his Bachelor of Science in Bible from
Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1986. Before CBCH, he
ministered at High Street Baptist Church in
Springfield and was Youth Minister at Deer Park
Baptist Church
in Cincinnati. Doug met Sue while in high
school and they dated for 5 years. After
getting up the courage to ask her to marry him, he
breathed a huge sigh of relief when she said yes. They were married
in 1985.
Doug and Sue were blessed with a son, Matt,
in January of 1993 and a daughter, Jenna, in January
of 1998.

Bryant Downey
Worship Leader [contact Bryant]
Bryant started attending CBCH in April 2003. In
December, 2003, he started leading worship. His
primary responsibilities are providing a worship
experience that is uplifting and prepares people for
Doug's message while ensuring that the music is biblically based.
Bryant is originally from Harrison, OH. He has been
involved in church music for most of his life
in a variety of roles including, playing piano and
keyboard, choral directing and leading worship.
Bryant married his childhood sweetheart, Kim, in 1989.
He says, "God definitely knew what he was doing when he moved Kim's family to Harrison from Chicago".
Bryant and Kim were blessed with a son, Brendon,
in June of 1995. They added to their family in 1999 with the addition of a son, Shawn and again in
2005 with the addition of a 3rd son, Jeremiah.
